Present Day

On June 1, 2025 Schaubach directed Dimension 20: Battle at the Bowl at The Hollywood Bowl. In January of 2025 he was the Co-Executive Producer of Dimension 20: Gauntlet at the Garden at Madison Square Garden, which was the largest live Dungeons & Dragons show in history.

He continues to direct and Co-Executive Produce Dimension 20 the television series for Dropout. The most recent seasons are Dungeons & Drag Queens, Titan Takedown and Cloudward, Ho!

2017 - 2024

In 2017 Schaubach was promoted to direct content for the newly formed CollegeHumor subscription premium service Dropout. He directed six shows for the platform, which were Dimension 20, Um, Actually, The Rank Room, Gods of Food, Total Forgiveness and Breaking News.

In 2024, Schaubach celebrated directing 200 episodes of Dimension 20, he has helmed over 20 seasons of the hit Tabletop Role-Playing Game (TTRPG) series.

2016-2017

In 2016 Schaubach was offered an opportunity to become a full-time director at CollegeHumor. Schaubach helmed over 100 sketches including How Tall is Grant?, Is Grant Keith From Buzzfeed?, Sweet Number Pi, The sCHining, CollegeHumor Heist, Wow, Everyone's Flirting With Me, The New Face of the NRA, CHome Alone among many other scripted​ and unscripted projects

2013 - 2016

​In 2013 Schaubach was tasked with moving the entire post-production department from New York to Los Angeles where CollegeHumor combined its production teams. There he continued to oversee sketches along with several television series. He worked on Adam Ruins Everything, which was sold to TruTV, Middle of The Night Show, which sold to MTV and The Britishes, which aired on DirecTVHe also oversaw post-production on "Wierd Al" Yankovich's music video Foil.

2008 - 2012

In 2008 Schaubach took the position as a full-time editor for CollegeHumor. There he edited sketches and The CollegeHumor Show on MTV. He then became the head of post-production overseeing the thousands of projects CollegeHumor output over his years in the position.

Schaubach wrote and directed an independent, comedic short film about corporate apathy called Poop. The film starred Amir BlumenfeldBridget BurkeDamian Washington and Jessica DiGiovanni. The film was produced by Steve Cozzarelli and the Director of Photography was Brendan H. Banks.

2005-2008

In 2005, with his eyes set to New York City, he made the leap from the "Little Apple" to the "Big Apple" and freelanced for a variety of companies including Media Blasters, Anderson Productions LTD and Good Magazine. His jobs included but were not limited to: editing, writing, development, producing, sound engineering, camera operating, transcribing, website developing, tape catalog managing and many, many more. 

During that time he worked on many special projects including a short documentary series called Look with Good Magazine. These short documentaries focused on interesting subjects from around the world. It follows a rooftop beekeeper in New York City, a Cambodian sports program, Hippo Rollers in South Africa and low-cost projectors for school children in Mali.

2002-2005

In 2002 Schaubach moved back to his hometown of Minneapolis, MN and was employed with ChartHouse Learning, a media company that specialized in motivational documentaries for corporations. There he worked on the FISH! Philosophy series and dubbed and labeled 17,000 VHS tapes.

In his free time he made two music videos for Oh Boy Records, Shackles and Chains for Dan Reeder and Conservative, Christian, Straight, White, American Male for Todd Snider.

 

In 2005 he produced and co-wrote a mockumentary pilot called Made-Up, which earned entry into the first annual New York Television Festival.

2000-2002

Born and raised in Minnesota, Schaubach attended the University of Iowa and achieved a BA in Cinema. Upon graduation he procured a job in the marketing and media department at University of Iowa Healthcare. Along with assisting doctors in making training and research videos, he also filmed and edited segments for Children's Miracle Network and provided news packages for local affiliates.
